my party alias
today i woke up too late to take my dad out for breakfast and spent the rest of the afternoon in the company of a room full of strangers and one friend. i drank water and punch. the cake was nummy. my name was alexander. somebody gave me a photo of themselves with a note on the back that read, "my darling alexander: fly with the sparrows! july 24th 3-6pm 214-4943" later they hugged me goodbye. they never did learn my real name.
on the way back i burned my hand on the steering wheel.
